Lawn Mower & Small Engine Repair

A mower that won't start costs you every week it sits. We diagnose and repair push mowers, riding mowers, zero-turns, and other small engines — and we'll tell you straight if it's not worth fixing.

Signs you may need lawn mower

Mower won't start, or starts and dies
Surging, sputtering, or losing power in thick grass
Blades won't engage or the deck is cutting unevenly
Riding mower battery or charging problems
Smoking, leaking, or burning oil

A dead mower in a Georgia summer is a weekly problem — the grass doesn't wait. We repair push mowers, riding mowers, zero-turns, and other small engines right here in Athens — diagnosed properly, not parked in a queue.

Stale fuel kills more mowers than wear does

The number one small-engine killer isn't age — it's the gas. Today's ethanol-blend fuel starts breaking down in weeks, gumming carburetors and varnishing fuel systems over the off-season. If your mower ran fine in October and won't start in April, that's the first place we look. A proper carb cleaning and fresh fuel brings most of them right back.

Riding mowers and zero-turns

Bigger machines bring car-style problems — batteries, charging systems, drive belts, spindles, electrical gremlins — and that's exactly the kind of work this shop does all day on trucks. We diagnose riding mowers and zero-turns the same root-cause way, whether it's a homeowner's lawn tractor or a machine that cuts for a living.

Fix it or replace it — we'll tell you straight

Not every mower is worth fixing, and we'd rather tell you that up front than hand you a repair bill that's most of the price of a new machine. You get an honest assessment of what's wrong and what it costs before any work happens. That's how we handle a $60,000 diesel, and it's how we handle a push mower.

We also repair ATVs and side-by-sides and motorcycles. Mower giving you trouble? Call or text (912) 601-7083.

Lawn Mower — common questions

My mower sat all winter and won't start. What's wrong with it?

Nine times out of ten it's stale fuel — gummed-up carburetor, varnished fuel system, maybe a fouled plug or a flat battery on a rider. We clean the fuel system, service what's actually worn, and get it cutting again.

Is my mower worth fixing, or should I just buy a new one?

Depends on the machine and the failure, and we'll tell you honestly. A carb clean on a decent rider is easy money well spent; a cracked block on a worn-out push mower isn't. You get the assessment before you commit to anything.

Do you work on zero-turns and commercial mowers?

Yes. Zero-turns, lawn tractors, and commercial machines — the belts, spindles, charging systems, and engines are all work we handle. If mowing is your business, call ahead and we'll plan the turnaround so you're not down long.
