Brake Repair & Service
Brakes are the one system you never gamble on. Squealing, grinding, a soft pedal, or a longer stop are all telling you it's time — and they only get more expensive to ignore.
Signs you may need brake repair
There's no "drive it a while longer" with brakes. Most brake repairs start cheap and get expensive the longer they wait — worn pads chew into rotors, a stuck caliper cooks a wheel, and a neglected line turns into a leak. Catch it at the squeal and you're replacing pads; wait for the grind and you're replacing pads, rotors, and maybe more.
A complete brake job, not a quick pad slap
When you bring us a brake concern, we inspect the whole system — pads, rotors, calipers, hoses, lines, fluid, and the ABS — and show you what we find. Then we fix what needs fixing and leave what doesn't. No upsells on parts that still have life, and no skipping the things that actually matter for safe, even stopping.
Trucks, diesels, and tow rigs
If you haul or tow, your brakes work harder and wear faster, especially in the North Georgia hills. We service heavy-duty and diesel-truck brakes and can set you up with components rated for the loads you actually pull.
Brake Repair — common questions
How do I know if I need brakes now or soon?
A high-pitched squeal usually means the wear indicators are telling you it's time soon. Grinding means metal-on-metal — fix that now before it damages rotors. A soft or sinking pedal means stop driving and call us; that can be a fluid or hydraulic problem.
Do I have to replace rotors with pads?
Not always. If the rotors are within spec and in good shape, we can often just do pads. If they're scored, warped, or too thin, replacing them is what gives you smooth, vibration-free stopping. We show you the measurements, not just an opinion.
Why does my steering wheel shake when I brake?
That pulsing usually means warped or unevenly worn rotors. We measure runout and thickness to confirm, then resurface or replace as needed so braking is smooth again.
