Exhaust System Repair

A loud, rattling, or leaking exhaust is more than noise — it can mean wasted fuel and fumes where you don't want them. We repair it right.

Signs you may need exhaust repair

Loud, raspy, or droning exhaust
Rattle or buzz under the floor
Smell of fumes inside the cab
Hissing or ticking that grows with throttle
Check engine light for an O2 sensor or efficiency

A loud or rattling exhaust is more than an annoyance. A leak ahead of the engine's sensors can throw off the fuel mixture and waste gas, and a leak under the cab can pull exhaust fumes inside where you're breathing them. We track down where it's leaking and repair it right.

Leaks, rust, and rattles

Most exhaust trouble around here is rust. Georgia humidity and road moisture eat pipes and mufflers from the inside out until a seam splits or a section rots through. Rattles and buzzes are usually a broken hanger letting a pipe bang the underbody, or a heat shield that's worked loose. We find the source, then replace or weld in just the section that's bad instead of selling you the whole system when you don't need it.

Sensors and fuel economy

Your engine leans on oxygen sensors to set the fuel mixture, and an exhaust leak or a failed sensor can drop your mileage and trip the check engine light. We diagnose O2 sensor and exhaust-related codes properly, so you fix the real cause and get your fuel economy back.

Catalytic converters — legal repair only

If your converter is clogged, failed, or stolen, we test it and replace it with a proper part that keeps your vehicle street-legal and passing. To be clear: we do legal exhaust and emissions repair, cleaning, and replacement. We don't do deletes or anything that defeats emissions equipment — that's illegal, and it'll bite you at resale and inspection. Hearing something you don't like underneath? Call or text (912) 601-7083.

Exhaust Repair — common questions

Do I have to replace the whole exhaust or just one part?

Usually just the bad section. If the rest of the system is solid, we repair or replace only what's rotted or broken. We'll show you what's actually gone and what's still good.

Can you delete the cat or emissions stuff to make it louder or get more power?

No. Removing or defeating emissions equipment is illegal, and it causes you headaches at inspection and resale. We do legal repair, cleaning, and replacement that keeps your truck street-legal — and a healthy exhaust runs better anyway.

Is a small exhaust leak a big deal?

It can be. Fumes can get into the cab, and a leak near the sensors can hurt fuel economy and trip a code. It's also cheaper to fix a small leak than to wait for it to rot out a whole section.
