Clogged EGR and DPF systems cause derates, poor MPG, and rough running, and they tend to fail at the worst possible time. Why these systems clog, and what we actually do

EGR routes exhaust back through the intake, which over time cakes the valve and cooler with soot. The DPF traps particulate and burns it off during a regen. When regens fail, soot loads up, the truck derates, and you're stuck on the shoulder. We diagnose why, then clean, repair, or replace the EGR valve, cooler, DPF, sensors, and DEF components as needed on Duramax, Cummins, and Power Stroke.

A truck that won't complete a regen or throws DEF and NOx codes will eventually limp. We find the real cause, whether it's a plugged DPF, a bad sensor, a DEF-quality or dosing problem, or an EGR fault, and we fix it so the system can do its job again instead of fighting you every drive.
