Preventive Maintenance
Scheduled & Factory Maintenance
Following your factory maintenance schedule is the difference between a vehicle that lasts 250,000 miles and one that nickel-and-dimes you to death. We keep you on track.
Signs you may need scheduled maintenance
Maintenance is the cheapest work we do, and it's the work that keeps the expensive jobs off your bill. A 90 dollar fluid change on time beats a transmission later. We build your service around what the manufacturer actually calls for at your mileage, not a one-size-fits-all upsell sheet.
Built around your factory schedule
Every make spells out what to service and when. We pull the right schedule for your vehicle and tell you what's due now, what's coming, and what can wait. You get the milestone services done right, and you don't pay for things that aren't due yet.
Keeps your warranty intact
If your truck or car is still under a factory or powertrain warranty, skipped maintenance is the first thing a dealer points to when they deny a claim. We do the services the warranty requires and keep clean records, so the coverage you paid for actually holds up. An independent shop is allowed to do this work without voiding anything.
Gas, diesel, and fleet
Diesels and work trucks live on a different schedule than a commuter car, with fuel filters, water separators, and harder-working fluids that need attention sooner. We keep gas vehicles, Duramax and other diesels, and small fleets here in the Athens area on track so nothing sneaks up on you.
Scheduled Maintenance — common questions
Will using an independent shop void my warranty?
No. Federal law says a dealer can't void your factory warranty just because an independent shop did the maintenance. We use the right parts and fluids and keep records of the work, which is exactly what protects the coverage.
I lost track of my service history. Where do we start?
We start with your current mileage and the factory schedule for your vehicle, then do a full inspection. From there we catch you up on what's overdue and lay out what's coming so you're back on a clean cycle.
Do I really need the 'big' 60k or 90k service?
Usually yes, but not always all of it. Those milestones bundle real items like fluids, filters, and belts. We tell you which ones your vehicle actually needs at that mileage and skip the padding.
