Diesel Fuel & Injection Service

The fuel system is where most serious diesel trouble starts. We diagnose and service injectors, pumps, and filtration to keep yours healthy.

Signs you may need fuel & injection

Hard starting, long cranks, or no-start
White or black smoke, especially when cold
Knock, rattle, or rough running under load
Power loss, surging, or poor fuel mileage
Water or contamination found in the fuel

The fuel system is where most serious diesel trouble starts. Modern high-pressure common-rail systems run injectors and pumps at pressures that leave zero room for dirty fuel, water, or air. When something goes wrong here, it goes wrong expensively, so we diagnose and service it before a cheap part takes out a costly one.

Injectors, pumps, and the parts that hurt to replace

A leaking injector can wash down a cylinder. A failing CP pump on a Duramax or Power Stroke can send metal through the entire fuel system. We test injector balance rates, check supply and return pressure, and inspect filtration so we catch the small problem before it becomes a full rail-and-injector job. The earlier we see it, the less it costs you.

Water and contamination kill diesels quietly

Water doesn't lubricate, and these pumps rely on fuel for lubrication. A little water or a single tank of bad fuel can score a pump in short order, and you may not hear a thing until it's too late. If you suspect contamination, stop driving and call us. We'll test, drain, and flush before it spreads through the injectors.

Protect the expensive stuff up front

The cheapest fuel repair is the one you prevent. As an authorized FASS Fuel Systems dealer here in Athens, we can fit your Cummins, Duramax, or Power Stroke with a system that filters finer, separates water, and feeds clean, air-free fuel to the injection system. That's real insurance for the most expensive components on the truck, and it pays for itself the first time it catches a bad tank of fuel.

Fuel & Injection — common questions

How do I know if it's injectors or the pump?

The symptoms overlap, which is why we test instead of guess. We check injector balance rates, fuel pressure, and return flow to pinpoint which component is actually failing before you spend a dime on parts.

Is a FASS system really worth it?

If you want your injectors and high-pressure pump to last, yes. Better filtration and water separation keep contamination away from the parts that cost the most to replace. We're an authorized dealer and can install one correctly.

I think I got bad fuel. What should I do?

Don't keep driving on it. Running contaminated fuel can damage the pump and injectors fast. Get it to us so we can test, drain, and flush the system before the damage spreads.
